SOPHIE STANDING 15th – 18th October 2020

Sophie is an English rose living in the heart of Kenya with her husband and two sons.

Her beautiful thread stitched animals have a personality of their own.

Her work is inspirational, a true artist in any sense of the word brought to life predominantly with a sewing machine using the free motion and darning foot.

Sophie starts her pieces by sketching or painting the image onto fabric to create boundaries in order for the animal to look realistic when pattern and colour is added on top.
